StudioScore analyses games, not the people looking at them. Nothing measures how you use the app: no tracking, no advertising, no analytics SDK. This page lists everything that is stored about you, where it lives, and how to delete all of it.
Who is responsible
StudioScore is an independent app made by Yevhenii Shyshkin. If you have a question about your data, or want it removed, write to privacy@studioscore.net.
What is stored
StudioScore asks you to sign in with Steam before you can use it. Signing in is what creates an account, and it is the only thing that causes anything to be stored. Here is the whole of it:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your SteamID | To know whose saved games are whose |
| Your Steam nickname and avatar image URL | Shown on your profile screen |
| A session token | So you stay signed in. Expires after 30 days |
| The list of games you saved | The whole point of the app: it watches those games for updates |
The session token is also kept on your device so the app does not ask you to sign in every time. Deleting the app removes it.
What is never collected
- Email addressnever collected
- Real name, phone number, addressnever collected
- Locationnever collected
- Payment or card detailsnever collected
- Your Steam passwordnever seen
- Contacts, photos, camera, microphonenever requested
- What you tap, view or search in the appnever recorded
- Analytics SDKs, advertising, trackersnone, of any kind
Nothing is sold, rented or shared with advertisers or data brokers. There is no advertising in the app and no third-party analytics library in it.
The app analyses games, not you
StudioScore exists to work out how often a game gets updated, whether a studio has gone quiet, and which discounts are worth your attention. That analysis runs entirely on public Steam data about games and studios: update posts, review counts, prices, release dates.
It is never built from your behaviour. The figures on your profile, such as how many games you track, how many have gone quiet and updates this month, are counted from the list of games you chose to save, and from nothing else. The app does not record which screens you open, what you search for or how long you look at anything.
Signing in with Steam
Signing in uses Steam's own OpenID service. You type your Steam credentials on Valve's website, not in this app: the app never sees your Steam password. Valve tells the app your SteamID, and nothing else. Valve's own handling of that sign-in is covered by the Steam Privacy Policy.
Where your data is stored
On servers operated by Railway in the European Union (Netherlands). Game data shown in the app, such as titles, prices, review counts and update posts, comes from Steam's public interfaces and is stored in the same place.
How long it is kept
- Session token: 30 days, then it expires on its own. Signing out removes it immediately.
- Everything else: until you delete your account.
Deleting everything
In the app
Open Profile → Account → Delete account. That removes your SteamID, nickname, avatar URL, saved games and session in one step. It is immediate and it cannot be undone.
By email
If you would rather someone did it for you, write to privacy@studioscore.net from any address and say which Steam account it is.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to see what is held about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to receive a copy. The legal basis for storing the four items listed above is performance of a contract: without them the app cannot keep your list or keep you signed in.
To exercise any of these, write to privacy@studioscore.net. Deletion is also one tap away in the app, as described above.
Children
StudioScore is not directed at children, and it requires a Steam account to sign in. No accounts are knowingly created for children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If what the app stores ever changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
