StudioScore is made by one person. Write to the address below and a human reads it, usually within a couple of days.
support@studioscore.netFor anything about your data specifically, privacy@studioscore.net reaches the same person.
If you are reporting something broken, the name of the game and what you expected to see is usually enough to find it.
Common questions
A game says "Not enough history"
The verdict is about rhythm, and a rhythm needs at least two updates to measure the gap between them. A game that shipped its first patch last week has one point on the graph and nothing to compare it to.
This is deliberate. Calling a nine-day-old game "updated regularly" would be a guess, and calling it abandoned would be worse. The verdict appears as soon as there is something real to base it on.
My game has updates on Steam but the app does not show them
StudioScore counts a post as an update only when Steam itself labelled it one. Studios also post announcements, sales, contests and fan art, and Steam files a lot of those in one mixed category. Guessing which of them are really patches, by reading the titles, got it wrong in both directions when it was tried: missing real patches and flagging sales as updates.
So a studio that never labels its posts will look quieter here than it is. The app would rather understate than invent.
How is the update rhythm worked out?
Each game is compared to itself, not to an average. A game that ships every 4 months is not late at month 3; a game that patches weekly and then goes silent for 5 weeks is. The app takes the typical gap between that game's own updates and measures how far past it the current silence has run.
Bursts of hotfixes around one release count as a single update, otherwise the typical gap collapses to a couple of days and every game looks overdue.
Why is Steam sign-in required?
To know which games are yours. Sign-in goes through Steam's own OpenID page, so your password is typed on Valve's site and never in this app. Steam tells the app your SteamID and nothing else: no library, no friends, no purchases.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Account → Delete account. It removes your SteamID, nickname, avatar, saved games and session immediately, and it cannot be undone.
If you no longer have the app installed, write to privacy@studioscore.net and say which Steam account it was.
The price on a deal is wrong
Prices are read from Steam on a schedule, not at the moment you open the screen, so a discount that started or ended in the last few minutes may not have landed yet. Steam's own store page is always the authority, and that is what the buy button opens.
Some games are missing from search
Two kinds of games are left out on purpose: titles Steam has delisted, and titles Steam marks as adult-only or sexually explicit. Everything else in the Steam catalogue is searchable.
Is this made by Valve?
No. StudioScore is an independent app. It reads Steam's public interfaces and links back to the Steam store for anything you actually buy.
